Jazz (A Musicology) the Sockumentary – Part 1

This two part sketch (Part 2 here) was inspired by documentary interviews with real 1930s and 40s Jazz musicians that I had heard on National Public Radio. When we started shooting the sketch each of the other actors, in true Jazz fashion, improvised some of the funniest sequences in the sketch. Colin Rich masterfully edited together tons of non sequiturs, and that’s how we got ‘Jazz (A Musicology) the Sockumentary. “That’s Jazz.”
